| In August I rescued a thoroughbred, she was so pithetic, I couldn't bare to see her stay, so the next day I have a trailer picking her up from that barn. It's been almost 6 months now and she has improved drastically. She had rain rot like no tomorrow, was so skinny you could see every bone, sad lonely eyes, was pushed around by the other horses, had pin worms, a fungus on her feet and her hooves were terrible. I actually don't know her real age, isn't that sad. But she's my baby and I love her to death. Her feet are still pretty bad, but she has a fat belly, hair and the fugus is all cleared up and she has new friends at my barn. I am going to start her training here soon, she only knows to run as fast as she can, since she was a race horse at one point in her life. So here are some before, during, and after pictures. This s when I first bought her. That was about a month after I had her. And that's her like 2 months ago. I have to take more pictures. But, she getting there slowly. | |

| Thanks, she still has a ways to go, plus she's a sweetheart. Doesn't act like a thoroughbred at all, she's so laid back. | |

| Yeah here in florida they just had a big thing were they gave away ex racers to good home, instead of sending them to slaughter. A lot of my friends have ex racers, they are great horses to have. | |

| yeah i have one two, sadly she is only a three year old (she sucks at running anything longer than a furlong) she is a sweety but a pain to ride. I was glad that i got her instead of the alternative for her. we don't have a rescue thing like that up here in nd though. If i had the money i would adopt all of the unhomed or badly homed horses of the world | |

| Yeah, I haven't done much with Cena, cause I just want her to get her health back before stressing her at all. I wish I had the money too, so many people are giving away their horses here, it's not funny. No one has the money to keep their horses anymore.
That's so sweet that you have two of your own. What's wrong with your three year old that she can't run that long? Just not enough training and stamina? | |

| Awww...that's cute. I'm hoping Cena wont be a pain in the butt to train. I mean he seems willing to learn, but god forbid I take her out of the pasture away from where the other horses are she flips out. | |
